IHR Digital History Seminar Postgraduate Panels Call for Papers 2024-25

Are you a postgraduate researcher trying out digital methods, tools or resources as a means of exploring historical phenomena? Is your historical research made possible by the use of electronic tools and resources? Do you have a work-in-progress project? Are you seeking a friendly, critical environment in which to share your preliminary findings, successes, and failures?

The Institute of Historical Research Digital History Seminar brings together a range of researchers to discuss and debate cutting edge historical research that incorporates digital resources and methods. We aim not to drive the agenda, but for the agenda to be driven by current discussion and debate.

Over the last six years we have hosted multiple postgraduate panels and we are relaunching our annual invitation for postgraduates to present their work to our seminar. While we are London based, we run a combination of virtual meetings and live-streamed face-to-face meetings. We have, therefore, greater flexibility to accommodate UK-based postgraduate speakers from outside of the London area, and international speakers from compatible timezones (we meet in the late-afternoon UK time, and can adjust our timings if needed).

So if you are interested in giving a paper on our postgraduate panel, please email a title, a short bio, and a description for your proposed paper of no more than 150 words to this form no later than 9th of August 2024. Any queries should be directed to Jack Newman.
